Police in Srinagar have arrested three people for gambling and seized the money they were using to bet.
The police received a information about gambling activities happening at a specific spot in Bemina. Acting on this information, officers from Police Station Bemina raided the location and caught three gamblers. The individuals are Ubaid Ahmad Mir, son of Ab Razak Mir; Aamir Hameed Shooda, son of Ab Hameed; and Adil Ahmad Gashroo, son of Bashir Ahmad. All of them live in Arampora Qamarwari.
During the raid, the police recovered ₹11,460 in cash, playing cards, and three mobile phones from the gamblers.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 78/2024 at Police Station Bemina, and an investigation is underway.
The police have warned that anyone involved in criminal activities will face legal action. They also encourage community members to report any crimes they notice in their area to the local police.
