Kupwara: In an important action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Kupwara Police have seized two houses owned by drug dealers in the Karnah border area. This is the first time such strict measures have been taken here, showing the police’s strong commitment to fighting drug problems.
The first house is in Pingla Haridal and belongs to Riyaz Ahmad Shah, son of Talib Hussain Shah. It was seized because of a case (FIR No. 02/2019) related to the NDPS Act at Karnah Police Station.
The second house is in Chitterkote Karnah and belongs to Jahangir Ahmad Khan, son of Rehmat Ali Khan. This seizure is connected to another case (FIR No. 14/2020) under the NDPS Act.
Together, these properties are worth above ₹40 lakhs.
