Mumbai: The assembly elections were conducted under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, and it is now for the central BJP leadership to determine how to uphold his position, stated Deepak Kesarkar, an aide to the caretaker Maharashtra Chief Minister and former state minister.
Kesarkar emphasized the need to acknowledge Shinde’s contributions during a press conference. The Mahayuti coalition, which includes Shiv Sena, BJP, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, secured 230 out of 288 assembly seats in the results announced for the polls held on November 20. The BJP has previously confirmed that the swearing-in ceremony will take place on December 5 at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.
“Our leader has demonstrated who genuinely represents the Shiv Sena. Now the decision lies with Delhi,” he added.
