Jammu, 21 Nov: Vivek Bali, a prominent political leader, has voiced his strong disapproval regarding the recent demolition of shops operated by Kashmiri Pandit migrants in Muthi, Jammu. These shops, which had been in business for nearly three decades, were allegedly demolished by the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) without any prior notification or alternative arrangements for their owners.
In his remarks, Vivek Bali stated, “The demolition of shops belonging to Kashmiri Pandit migrants is regrettable and raises serious concerns about the actions of the JDA. If there were valid reasons for their removal, proper procedures should have been followed, including issuing notices and providing alternative locations for those affected. This approach by the authorities is unacceptable and warrants condemnation.”
Bali underscored the importance of compassionate governance, urging the JDA to reassess its decisions. He further called on the administration to take immediate steps to provide relief and rehabilitation for the impacted shop owners, ensuring their livelihoods are safeguarded.
