The highly awaited trailer for the pan-India film Pushpa 2: The Rule was launched during a spectacular event in Patna on Sunday night. The gathering took place at Gandhi Maidan, where film stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna were present, attracting a crowd of over 10,000 enthusiastic fans. At one stage, the situation seemed to escalate as fans began to climb over barricades and structures to get nearer to the celebrities. The police had to implement a ‘mild’ lathi charge to manage the crowd, according to reports.
News agency ANI reported that numerous fans ascended structures set up at Gandhi Maidan in Patna during the occasion in an effort to glimpse the stars. As they created a scene resembling a stampede, security personnel employed baton charges to control the massive gathering.
Footage from the event even showed some attendees hurling slippers and other items at the police when they were stopped from approaching the stage or climbing the scaffold for a better view of the stars.
