The Jammu and Kashmir Government has set a new upper age limits for candidates applying to the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024, they have done this to standardize eligibility while allowing flexibility for all the various age groups.
The general or open merit candidates will now face an upper age cap of 35 years. Reserved category candidates, as well as in-service applicants, have a slightly higher limit set at 37 years, acknowledging the needs of individuals already working in the public sector. Additionally, the government will provide further relaxation for physically challenged candidates, setting their age limit to 38 years.
These adjustments come as part of ongoing efforts to ensure greater inclusivity and accessibility in government recruitment while balancing the age criteria with the requirements of different demographic groups. The updated limits are expected to provide more candidates with a fair chance to apply for government positions and contribute to public service in Jammu and Kashmir.
This regulatory change has been formalized under S.O. 539, offering a clear framework for applicants in preparation for the upcoming CCE 2024.
